Had we been able to pin point the locality of this specimen we probably would have kept it. The Geode is nearly a perfect ball and has been split very neatly in half. The lucky part is that the one half has the Calcite growth right on the lip of the geode. Under the SW UV light there is a slight fluorescence on the white (we assume calcite) band just below the rind. It's a lovely specimen and we do want it sold with both halves going to the new owner, not as individual specimens.
