Azurite & Malachite (Tsumeb, Namibia)
Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Namibia. 90mm x 50mm x 30mm.
Azurite came from the mine throughout it's life yet it is a mineral that was only found from the surface of the mine up to 400m deep. The reason for the specimens constant supply to mineral collectors was that the pillars of the first level where always being mined. This is a lovely specimen with contrasting bright and lusturous Azurites offset with a rich green mat of malachite on the one sode of the specimen. Again this is a small cabinet specimen with a overall length of 90mm (9cm)
