Berg Aukas mine operated on and off from 1920 to 1979 when the mine closed. In the years of operation it was (and still is) recognised as the source of the worlds best descloizites. They are now increasingly hard to come by.. (for obvious reasons). This is a stunning cabinet size specimen from the locality with a length of 9cm, a height of 5cm and a depth of 5cm - superb crystalisation all around except the base of course.
