Skorpion mine has closed, while in operation it had a reputation for producing many rare minerals as well as world class specimens. Heterolite was not a common find at the mine, often overlooked in the haste to find the "pretty" material yet it's a important part of any Skorpion mineral collection. This piece as well as a few others featured on the site are from a collector that focussed on the minerals from the mine, there are a number of good specimens available, do look at them together with this specimen.
