Prehnite Epimorph after Calcite (South Africa)

In the late 1970's these epimorphs where discovered on a farm near Soetwater (Calvinia District, Northern Cape, South Africa) The Prehnite is in the shape of the sides of a typical "angel wing" calcite forming these distinctive plates that are interlocked. We visited the site again in 2015 and can confirm that the area has been completely rehabilitated and the chances of finding a even a small broken piece are minimal.
