Transvaal Jade was often found at the Crome mines in the Rustenburg district South Africa. Green was the most common colour with pink the hardest to find. The material is very popular with lapidary as it takes a great polish and perfomes as well as the true jade would when cut and polished. This piece will be great for further work in lapidary as a cabochon or simply as as specimen on it's own.
